Great point doesnt trimp oversee the treasury, of course he does, so the treasury department imposed sanctions without telling trump?

3. i know it's a shocker, but yeah, he's a terrible manager. the companies were chinese.

these chinese shipping companies were helping north korea evade sanctions.

we can only speculate as to how this public screw-up happened, but we can guess that if treasury said anything to donnie at all, they characterized it as being tough on china, possibly without even mentioning north korea.

alternatively, we can imagine that this is donnie's idea of brillian geopolitics, quietly having treasury put extra sanctions on and then publicly taking them back, just to pretend he's being nice to his buddy kim, because he thinks there's some upside to that....
