So, it's a disappointment, for me. Whether the evidence is there for it or not, we don't know. But the SCO did not indict.

It's not likely anyone will indict Trump for anything, since he's President.
Impeachment is the recourse, I suppose.

(28 posts)I feel like the evidence has been staring us in the face for a long time but now somehow Mueller has vindicated him and it doesn't make any sense. Why would he lie about the trump tower meeting, why would he lie about the trump moscow tower, why would he fire Comey, why would he keep denying that Russia interfered, why would he kiss Putin's ass every chance he gets, why would he tell the Russians that firing Comey got the heat off of him, why would Don Jr not tell his father about the meeting a trump tower, why the hell did all these trump people have contact with russians. I just don't get it. You will hear the words I told you so and witch hunt at least 500 times next week. SMH.

(28 posts)The media is going on and on about how this is a a great day for trump and his people are saying the same thing. I think the Democrats are going to try and figure out how to investigate him after this. I literally can't believe it.
NanceGreggs
(27,813 posts)This sounds like a classic "some people are saying" post.
After listening to the mindless spin coming out of the WH for the past two years, what makes it credible now?
It was just a few weeks ago that Trump was yelling that the judge in Manafort's case had declared there was "no collusion" by Spanky - when of course the judge said no such thing, or anything remotely like it.
Right now, no one other than Barr and Mueller knows what it's the final report - ergo, no one is in a position to claim that it's "good news" for Trump.
keepFocused06
(28 posts)I been hearing pundits talking about trump being exonerated all evening.
NanceGreggs
(27,813 posts)I've had CNN on for hours, and no one (not even the GOP pundits) are saying that. The only thing they're saying is that Trump is probably relieved that there won't be any further indictments from Mueller.
Given that no one knows what's in the report as yet, claiming "exoneration" or "vindication" has no meaning whatsoever.
This is like being in a courtroom, the jury announces they've completed their deliberations, and before they announce their verdict, the defendant jumps up and yells "I've obviously been found innocent!"
In any event, pundits, WH spinners, etc. can say whatever they want - it doesn't matter. Mueller's report says what it says - and all the spin in the world isn't going to alter a word of it.
The GOP have been whistling past the Trump graveyard for two years - they're just whistling louder now.
