Manafort handed over polling data to the Russians. What about Stone and wiki- leaks? Trump asked Russia to hack e-mails and they did. People here are upset for good reason.

(16,095 posts)Seriously, we do have reason to be both upset and concerned.
More may come out later, but right now, feeling gut-punched is pretty normal.

We just don't know everything immediately, and that is our frailty as human beings.
Give things time and we will, however.

(4,493 posts)if no more indictments but the reason is that DOJ rules prohibiting indicting the president, then this shit aint over. Thats why we need to see the full report.

(115,681 posts)There's an old adage that you don't shoot at the king unless you know you can take him out. Trump doesn't leave a paper trail because he doesn't use email; also, as Michael Cohen pointed out, he talks in a kind of code, like the mobster he really is. This makes establishing his intent difficult. Mueller wouldn't present evidence to a grand jury unless it's just about bullet-proof, which that isn't. Same with Don Jr. - all we know about his involvement in the Russia matter is the Trump Tower meeting with Veselnitskaya, etc., which was as dodgy as hell but might not have actually violated a statute, or at least there might not be enough proof of it. There could have been a campaign finance violation if the Russian cooperation was a "thing of value," which isn't clear. if he knew that the Russians were engaged in hacking and that the information he was seeking was obtained by these means, he could have violated the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. But without hard evidence of these possible crimes, Mueller might not have felt he could have gotten an indictment.
OR - Maybe Mueller has spun off at least some of these charges to other prosecutors, who have yet to issue indictments. Don Jr. apparently lied to Congress, and they want to re-interview him so he could be charged with that. Point is, the fat lady hasn't sung yet.
