Some thoughts on today's developements
It appears that Mueller was never able to get the direct link between Trump and the Russians. However, unless you want to take the idea that the president can do anything with the executive branch he wants, it seems to me that there is good evidence for obstruction of justice. The DOJ rule is not to indict a sitting president. Does that mean that if they have enough evidence to indict for obstruction, it won't be in the report. This may be the thing that decides whether Trump is impeached or not. Even if he is not impeached, Trump could very likely go into the 2020 election a very wounded incumbent.
Take heart in this;
A recent poll stated that 55% percent of respondents said they would not vote for him for reelection.
A recent poll stated that 38% percent of respondents said that he should be reelected.
This is before the Mueller report.
Unless we nominate a really bad candidate in 2020, he should be beaten.
