In a long and winding profile in the Washington Post, Roseanne Barr reflected on the fallout over her racist tweet about former White House advisor Valerie Jarrett – and the grudges she holds over it.

But one person in particular stands out – out actor Sara Gilbert can’t be forgiven according to Barr.

Shortly before ABC axed the reboot of Barr’s iconic sitcom, Roseanne, Gilbert joined the chorus of Americans condemning the comedienne for the tweet, saying it was “abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show.”

“She destroyed the show and my life with that tweet,” Barr says. “She will never get enough until she consumes my liver with a fine Chianti.”

one reason why Barr says that. No, I don't agree or condone it, but I think it's why Barr blames Gilbert.

I did watch most episodes of the first season of the rebooted show. I liked the original, especially the first few seasons. By the end of several seasons, the story lines were a little whacked out. But, sometimes the passage of time gives new perspectives, and I was eager to see if the show's reboot would bring back some of the spark of the original.

Sara Gilbert seems to have been featured very prominently on every show I watched. Yes, I realize she did a lot of the work to put the reboot together, but the new series seemed like a path to escape out of the talk-show genre that Gilbert seems to have been pigeonholed in. Gilbert's career has gotten a boost, and Roseann has gone down in flames, her own doing, to be sure, but it seems to have inspired the jealousy that is at the center of this recent outburst.

I have not watched any episodes of the show this last year, but I'd presume that Sara Gilbert still has a most prominent role each week. Surely Barr has been watching it, and if that's the case, it's fueled her misdirected angst.

There is no reason to bring her up every time she says something that demonstrates her emotional and mental instability. We are not talking about a rational, sane person and she probably needs to stay on her medication.
