I think it started with the Pussy Hats. Taking something insulting, juvenile and objectionable and turning it into power. Using humor as a counter to disrespect. Then we watched a congressman showing himself to be an udder and complete fool by suing a fake cow, on Twitter, resulting in making it the most powerful fake cow, in Twitter history.
Now its an armada of fishing boats, from many states, demonstrating to a delusional, "ritzy" woman that she most definitely does NOT own the water in front of her very big and ultra snazzy waterfront home, in Vero Beach, Florida. And, its being live streamed on Face Book and being watched by people from all across the globe. All in response to this entitled womans vile verbal and hose spraying attack on a man who was simply trying to enjoy his hobby, in a completely legal way. Now her home is surrounded, on land, by observers and supporters, and on the water by a whole bunch of fishing boats. https://www.facebook.com/fishjoycesdock/
I know it isnt ALWAYS possible to counter, diffuse and hopefully defeat ignorance and hatred with humor, but when it works, its a thing of beauty.

(26,259 posts)But there's a huge crowd. It looked like the house is on some sort of peninsula. I don't know how big Vero Beach is, but it should be easy to find. Lots of music and people, both on land and sea.

(14,961 posts)lay out is complicated at best. On the beach it is considered Vero through Wabasso(lived here my whole life, and can tell you this is mainly for the wealthy, that prefer the name Vero Beach. Disney's Vero Beach resort is even in Wabasso technically).
I guess the incident occurred just south of Sebastian Inlet. Which is even further north.
It looks like the live stream is down.
I'll update if I can find any further info.
This area is unfortunately full of entitled(they think) wealthy asshats.

(26,259 posts)I think they are going to wind it down, soon, because they have to return the boat by noon-ish.
But I bet that armada will remain.

(14,961 posts)Guess it pays to check out local news every now and again.
The massage parlor mess involves one I drive by everyday, I didn't even know until a couple days before the Kraft news broke. My husband saw it on FB.

(26,259 posts)I mean, this is a totally non-political issue - just an entitled twit vs a bunch of regular people. Hopefully something good will come of this - but I do wonder how her neighbors are feeling.

(37,648 posts)I don't like to use FB for videos or news. It's not reliable, as we know! So I found the news source directly:
