I bet Mueller reported that Trump blocked Mueller from reviewing his tax returns

and other financial records. This would be a clear form of obstruction.

When the House subpoenas Mueller to testify (if a subpoena is required), they should ask him about that.

@RepLloydDoggett
Last week in our hearing, I asked Trump’s Treasury Sec. Mnuchin if he would fulfill the command of the statute requiring him to release Trump’s personal & business tax returns to Ways & Means Committee upon request.

All we got was doubletalk.

He knows where the money trail began, saw the tax returns, passed on various aspects of the investigation to the State of New York, the SDNY, etc.

Donald Trump has no cause to breath easier. His nightmare is just getting started.

And Mueller got them anyway.

But we shall see.

My guess is that if he wanted them, he wouldn't have requested them but would have sought them from a judge via an ex party order that Trump wouldn't even be aware of.

There is a lot of speculation that is what happened. But the reality is we don't know if he sought them and/or got them.

Allen Weisselberg is on our team in exchange for immunity.

The lack of basic knowledge in this saga is the reason for most of the confusion in the last 24hrs.

that could be listed in the report as a form of obstruction, along with failing to answer the interrogatories, etc.

I have family members who have worked for IRS and they said it's common and standard practice for them to share tax returns with investigators when they are requested by other branches of law enforcement.

Trump might have tried, but Mueller has had his tax returns since day one of the investigation. They were almost certainly requested by the FBI as part of the previous counter-intelligence investigations.
