Spectacular close up drone footage of a Blue Whale "Lunge Feeding". (2:00 min vid) (Edited)

Absolutely remarkable animal. A tractor trailer sized living submarine!

For all their issues and problems they can create, the introduction of small, affordable, easily controlled drones for use as camera platforms seems to have transformed wildlife photography. This is footage that would have been difficult for a noisy, traditional helicopter to have captured.

Edit;

Here is the photographers YouTube channel. Several more very well done whale videos;

that doesn't like being scratched above its tali!

Dog, cat, horse, pig, giraffe, you name it!

Ever seen a dog start making frantic scratching motions with its tail when you do that?

Big blue's tail looks to be bigger than a pair of barn doors. Might be hazardous to a swimmer if that starts flapping in joy.

Yeah....well, as with many things, it's a double edged sword!

It would be cool to see the whale get all happy, but you would risk getting slapped into next week!

What would you use to scratch a 70 foot long animal? One of these, maybe?!

Which reminds me as I was searching, there is something similar for livestock!

This makes me laugh! He/She looks so content!

A bunch more by searching "Cow Scratching Machine". !!
