Wait: Chicago PD with RECENT history of pressuring PoC into false statements gets benefit of doubt

... but the the guy who has a history of advocating for minority rights and no criminal history does NOT !?!!?

I'll wait, especially seeing it was ... NOT ... Smollet who sealed the case so no one can see what happened.

If the CPA and CPD have done everything on the up and up let us see ... it's the CPA's choice.

Your take ?

His lawyers asked for the case to be sealed. BlueTsunami2018 Mar 2019 #2
Are we sure it was Smollets lawyers that requested the case sealed? tia uponit7771 Mar 2019 #4
According to this story, yes. BlueTsunami2018 Mar 2019 #5
Hmmm the story doesn't have a quote from Smollets team, I've searched and haven't ... uponit7771 Mar 2019 #6

but it is extremely fishy that they suddenly just said "NOPE! Nothing to see here!" and dropped (then sealed) the whole thing.

... funny from the outset but I don't want to give the CPD the benefit of the doubt with their recent history of paying 100 million in police brutality

I try to avoid commenting on stories like this because the "facts" seem to be so fluid in the first few days of reportage.

Now? I don't know what to believe.

... found anything from his attorneys claiming it was them that asked for the case to be sealed.

I do agree the CPA and CPD doesn't have to seal the case ... I hate that Red Don is getting involved.

We'll see, I'm still not going to give the CPD the benefit of the doubt seeing their recent history of terrorizing that area to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars of judgments against them.

I’m just trying to find out how the case files got sealed.

You know Тяцмр is only sensationalizing the story because it stokes white resentment, the main catalyst for his election “victory”.

... the case be sealed.

Also, it looks like the CPD is lying about deferment ... there's some crap going on here.
