Trump threatens to close border, saying Mexico 'all talk and no action' on immigration

President Trump on Thursday renewed his threat to close off the southern border in a tweet also attacking Mexico and Democrats over immigration.

Trump said Mexico is "all talk and no action" in its efforts to stop a flow of migrants into the U.S. and said Democrats "don't care."

"Likewise, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador have taken our money for years, and do Nothing," he added. "The Dems don't care, such BAD laws. May close the Southern Border!"

The tweet comes after Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Kevin McAleenan said Wednesday that immigration enforcement has reached a "breaking point."

Could someone get it through Needy Amin's thick skull that it's not in his power to close the border? Idiot.

Just from the San Yisidro, Otay Mesa and Calexico ports of entry.

Combined they are the largest entry points in the Western Hemisphere.

90,000 passenger cars per DAY cross back and forth at these points of entry.

Trump is crazy.

Devestating climate change, extreme isolationist policies, protectionist economic policies, supporting authoritarians and oligarchs; this is a recipe for creating desperate refugees willing to come to a country that detains and warehouses children. Besides if you can get in at least subsistence employment is possible. Even when you are arrested you get to eat. Working for criminal enterprises such as Trump owned businesses is much better than being starved and beaten to death.

Caligula planning to make his horse a Consul, or the USA making Donald Trump president.

To quote Sir Peter Ustinov (in the role of King Fawz): "is puzzlement."

The children of the next millennia will be learning about Donald Trump and what a colossal fuckup he was. They will all learn about his border separation policy. They will gasp in horror and disgust. They will wonder how someone like that could get in a position of power, the same way we wonder how Hitler could have been so powerful.

The victorious allies of World War One acted with supreme arrogance and naïveté in humiliating (as opposed to rehabilitating) Germany, practically smoothing the way for Hitler or someone like him to come to power.

As for Trump, where only a tiny sliver of the American population had anything to gain by his assuming power, and most had plenty to lose, including--ESPECIALLY including--those who voted for him.....well THAT one will be one to ponder over for long after we're gone.

The children of the future will struggle to understand what any of us in the present day were ever thinking when we ensured that a person like Donald Trump was ever made President.
