and no liberal to counter them? Is he trying to please his corporate masters at Time Warner?

(3,073 posts)Would have preferred a more balanced panel. Should have had Arianna Huffington for the panel instead- would have been much more interesting.

(6,268 posts)Not the politics or the fairness... just the money.
Sadly, too many ACTUAL politicians also operate under the premise of existing merely to make money as well.

(2,436 posts)Too many voices trying to talk over each other, and constantly raising their volume to do it.
I dream of a show where each of them is in a separate booth, and gets a live microphone for only 20 seconds at a time.

(22,143 posts)I like when he battles the conservatives, it's a good debate. How often is it all liberals or all liberals beating the piss out of one conservative? Very.
There's no real point to a panel show if everyone believes the same thing.

(21,925 posts)The right winger was saying that it was, giving an example of a 19 year old with a 17 year old. That's so dishonest. It's not representative of all statutory rape. Most people would agree on the 19 year old with the 17 year old usually being milder than a so-called "forcible rape". But what about a 14 year old with a 30 year old? How is that not as bad as a forcible rape because it almost automatically implies coercion whether psychological or physical.

(8,791 posts)then you can complain about Bill Maher. Until then, not a peep out of you against Maher.

(2,280 posts)And Maher's million dollars is offset by the millions of free airtime he's giving to the right.

(75,480 posts)Or maybe he did it because of the convention next week. He seemed to touch on the subjects that will be the RNC platform and maybe he wanted their take on it.

(2,280 posts)but the line up for next week's show is mostly conservatives too.
