Well, it’s Friday and all I can say is, well, thank God it’s Friday.

This week wasn’t easy. Never in my life did I think I would be attacked and insulted by the President on Twitter, at rallies, and on Fox News. Never did I think that the President, Kellyanne Conway, and their obsequious allies in Congress would be calling on me to resign for doing my job.

But you know what? It was a good week. I feel energized and determined. And that’s all thanks to you.

From all over California, from all over the country, I’ve heard from so many supporters who have told me that they’re with me. Whether you pitched in to my campaign, called my office, sent a text, or posted a message of support on social media -- THANK YOU.

I will never be intimidated from doing my job in Congress, period. I will never back down from doing what is right. But it’s a whole lot easier when I know you have my back.

There will be more tough weeks to come. There will be more attacks from the President and his cronies in Congress. But let them come. We’re ready for them.

We can help our elected officials continue to make the right decisions when we show them we support them and have their backs. By all means call or e-mail or post to your elected officials when they do right. It makes a difference. Also, if you establish a record with their office of support, when you have a criticism they're more likely to listen.
