On Chris Hayes discussing the Green New Deal, that was her reaction to the RW flipping out over her and the proposal.
She is terrific, just articulate, informed, authentic, compassionate. Can take them down with one sentence. I love her.

(16,925 posts)that this marvelous person has come out of nowhere and is going to be an amazing rising star in the Democratic party.
When "they" hate her that much, that soon, you KNOW she's good!
Watch her, support her, and hang on to your seats - we're going for a fantastic ride!!!

(268,949 posts)Her comment on the responses to 9/11 versus Puerto Rico is spot on - 3,000 dead is 3,000 dead.
She is a breath of fresh air.

(31,979 posts)from a family member with the subject line "AOC" yesterday.
It goes on to describe her "Green New Deal" and at the end, the last sentence asks, "Is this not indicative of the pervasive ignorance rampant among our young people today?"
I replied....
"In my opinion, the "pervasive ignorance" is sitting in the White House."
I got no response ......

(15,278 posts)I'll bet Andy Barr is feeling sorry now he invited her to speak in his Kentucky CD. She talked about distinguishing fossil fuel companies from fossil fuel company workers and that green energy jobs should have the same level of pay, benefits and be unionized.
She was impressive responding to ex-Rep Bob Inglis (R-SC) accusation that progressives were "the teaparty of left", too.
She certainly is an impressive young lady and it was clear her constituents in the audience love her.
