Trump Ends 109-Year-Old Presidential Tradition (Because he'd never make it over the plate)

.

"Now This" takes note that Donald Trump will not throw out the first pitch for the 2019 baseball season, breaking a tradition that has lasted over a century.

mister president sir, at which #OpeningDay game will you be throwing the first pitch? oh that's right, you're the first president in over 100 years not to throw a first pitch because you can't deal with having tens of thousands of people booing the Snowflake In Chief. hashtag sad

Perhaps he's also shitting on American's traditions even more. It's what Putin would want.

Trump was a decent baseball player, he doesn't want to get booed out of the stadium. He even played baseball with bone spurs.

halfway. And so he won't even try. Other presidents have done it even though they were lousy pitchers because it's tradition and it doesn't matter if they can't throw. But Trump's fragile little ego won't allow that to happen to him. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/18974934/scouting-presidential-first-pitches

But that's okay. He's in his 70s and a lot of people that old wouldn't be able to throw it that far. In the past, catchers would walk halfway to the mound and that would be enough to satisfy everyone.

he'd keel over from a heart attack walking up the 10 inch rise from the field to the top of the mound. For someone as flabby and out of shape (contrary to what his "doctors" say) he'd never make it up a grade like that without a Sherpa and multiple oxygen tanks.

Not surprising GWB could throw. If he'd gotten the baseball commisioner job he really wanted, he wouldn't have gone into politics.

There are a lot of non skill position players in football that struggle in other sports. Even some receivers struggle. Ford was a lineman so throwing a baseball may have been something he hadn’t done for 40 years.

Obama could shoot a basketball well, still can, but his throws were somewhat mediocre.

Point being, I’m not going to disparage anyone for struggling to throw a decent pitch. It is somewhat of an unnatural motion.

If Trump won't throw out the first pitch - they should ask President Obama to throw out the first pitch in Trump's place.

That would really piss Trump off.

And this way it would be a President doing the job and saving the tradition.

Set up a table-for-one on the pitcher's mound. Have it brought out by Gordon Ramsay, who'll stand over him to make sure he eats it all and doesn't put ketchup on it. Live close-ups on the Jumbotron, including the Presidential Belch afterwards. Time hiim, and compare his score to previous presidents (Rump will have an advantage here, since all he has to do is stuff it in his pouch). Hose him off. Play ball.

For extra thrills, leave him out there when the game starts.
