Deputies: Man called 911, asked female deputies for sex

TAMPA --
Deputies say a Dover man tried to use the 911 system as his own personal dating service.

Joshua Basso, 22, was arrested and charged with making false 911 calls in connection with the incident.

Deputies said Basso made seven calls between 10 a.m. on Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Friday.

Each time, they said he called and asked the dispatchers to send female deputies to his home for "sexual gratification," the report said.

Deputies said Basso admitted to making the calls and misuing the 911 emergency system.

Basso is currently in the Hillsborough County Jail.

If I had a dollar for every perv who propositioned me and talked dirty to me when I was a receptionist and a telephone operator, but especially a receptionist in a medical office, I would be very well off. Honestly, are these guys sex lives so non-existent that they have to telephone molest the women who answer the phones? Is this the only female contact in their lives other than their grandmothers?
