Trump 'still doesn't know what a trade deficit is or what it means'--in threatening to close Mexico

border.

This man has been President for more than two years and overseen multiple trade negotiations and he still doesn't know what a trade deficit is or what it means.

Replying to @bdragon74

he's not just dumb or incurious, he actively aggressively avoids learning things.

Not an ideal attribute in a president.

Given that he's necessarily surrounded by people who DO know things, it's almost impressive.
I have this image of people carrying in charts and thumbing through dictionaries to try to explain basic concepts, only for Trump to cross his arms and shout "NO" over and over.

At least someone managed to explain to him what an island is, I guess.

Why wait. The businesses that are manufacturing in Mexico can't build a factory in the US overnight.

And back this madman into doing this will suffer from what he's trying to do here. HE doesn't care if it wrecks the economy even more, and doesn't care about the businesses that'll be badly hurt by doing this. His threats to do this should tell everyone how little he cares about this country, and our economy. Its almost like he's intentionally doing these things to hurt the economy, not help it, then spin his policies as the opposite , and that they are needed and good when they aren't. He's a fraud , and a crook. HE should be asked to resign.

There are some scattered about, but most of his appointees are either totally inept and/or have been chosen to injure or kill governmental departments they are supposed to serve.

You could frame this into Trump’s Golden Rule: “Do unto others it does not matter when you do not give a shit about any consequences”.
