Republicans want to investigate Mueller's "failed coup", but there's interesting precedent.

“Republicans believe that the FBI and DOJ – the top people – took the law in their own hands because they wanted [Hillary] Clinton to win and Trump to lose,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Thursday on Fox News.

...

Mueller’s probe began as an FBI counterintelligence investigation into links between Russia and the Trump campaign in August 2016, well before President Donald Trump’s upset victory that November. The investigation reportedly began with Australian intelligence that Trump campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos had inside knowledge of Russian efforts to steal emails from the Clinton campaign to help Trump.

But the White House and congressional Republicans have long alleged that the investigation was motivated by political bias. Those accusations came to a head in late 2017, when news emerged that two FBI officials who had been assigned to the Mueller team, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, exchanged personal text messages that were highly critical of Trump during the 2016 election.

The precedent is that the Republicans considered it improper for Peter Strzok and Lisa Page to have criticized Trump before they joined the investigation against him.

I think that's interesting.

Don't you think it's interesting?

By exactly the same standard, it would be equally improper if anybody who has ever criticized Mueller/Comey/Brennan were to investigate whether the Mueller-investigation was lawful.

Don't you think?

if that is true... they sure as hell did a SHITTY job.

Maybe they should have... literally... made public accusations if they wanted to influence the election? the "not talking about it" is a pretty terrible strategy if you want to make drumpf look bad.

They are trying to protect themselves.

They played with the evil, under GAWD's eyes.

If the Mueller report "exonerates" the orange clown, shouldn't they be singing it's praises ?

And somebody must have their facts a bit strangely arranged, didn't all of this start with signal intelligence from an Eastern European listening post some time in 2015 ?
