(268,890 posts)false report. We will have to be vigilant and hope that Mueller will expose any fake document. Wish I could swear for that happening.

(576 posts)My guess is that Mueller approves of Trump and the Republican domestic policy and packing the courts.
I beleive Muellars mission is to save the Rethugs from themselves at all costs.

(67,102 posts)Otherwise, it would just be released ... saying see, nothing of substance. Incredible games they are playing. The bullshit runs deep with Obstruction IMO now by Barr.

(7,142 posts)No way Mueller didn't keep a copy.
Maybe Mueller will have to visit Nicolle Wallace and Rachel Maddow?
Even if Mueller just did a press release claiming that Barr's report is phony would do the trick.

(4,613 posts)Wikileaks has issued a $1million dollar bounty for a copy of it.
But who knows what they would do with it.
The_Counsel
(1,660 posts)And only $1 million?
But I agree with you, and can't imagine what they'd do with a report that could potentially implicate them. We'll see...

(10,893 posts)I can see Mueller's office locking down the data, but once it got to Barr, all bets are off.
I suspect copies already exist.

(4,871 posts)Russians have a habit of getting ahold of documents, changing them, and then releasing them. They did it with the Steele dossier.
I saw this morning a headline from ZeroHedge, a notorious disinformation site on Finviz, someone was already saying a version had leaked. That post is now gone.
My experience with ZeroHedge on Finviz is that they sometimes "test" disinfo there. I never click on their links. Thanks Bulgaria.

(25,183 posts)Chances are, the file on the thumb drive has metadata that shows when it was downloaded. That can be compared to a log saying when authorized persons accessed the main file.
The leaker would be exposed within a couple of days, max.

(25,183 posts)and somebody might only see prison walls for several years. And maybe for nothing, if there really isn't anything but an occasional tidbit beyond the Barr summary.
That's why you secure both your physical office and your electronic data, to be able to identify who leaked what, and thus deter leaks.
