After filing my taxes from a blue state, I am only spending my vacation money in other blue states.

Weaponizing the tax cuts was the last straw for me. I may be fighting lonely boycotts and spending strategies but I am fed up with Trump and his RW evil doers. I bet half of the red state folks didn't even file taxes and there will be no penalties on them. I would love to see the stats on this year's taxes.

3. If you have a 401k, contribute as much as you can.

It will drive down your taxable income and thus your tax burden.

4. We lost our SALT deductions and it really hurt. I wish Blue states could get together

and do something, our states pay the most into the Federal government and get the least back. While Red states pay the least, and in some cases not at all, and get more back. They are very good at taking money from the government, but always complain if other people need help, then it's "welfare" or "socialism". They ought to look in their own mirror. I know my congressmen are trying to get our SALT deductions, and other deductions we lost, reinstated. It could get through the House, but it will never get through the Senate, while republicans are in charge. This was Trump's payback to us for not voting for him. I can only hope and work toward Trump and the GOP being voted out. Like you, I won't be spending any money in red states, they already got a free pass.
