I still don’t understand why Barr came out of retirement to do this. My best guess is that he’s thrilled to have a Republican in power who seems to be immune to being held to account, in order to enact their agenda which hurts the majority of people in this country. How else would they ever be able to pull this off? Trumps ability to mesmerize a significant portion of the country is giving them a lot of cover. And he wanted to close off any attempt by the Democrats to wake people up.
