About the Leak of The Letter to the Press

I noticed that the letter has a hand-written component that it was received by OAG (Office of the Attorney General) on March 28th.

This means, the letter reported originally by the WaPo originated from the Attorney General's office. Which means someone in that office leaked it.

Barr? Rosenstein? Someone else?

I have a hard time thinking Barr released it, but if he did, then this story is a setup. Barr had a planned response about the letter and note that his opening statement that was released ahead of his testimony discussed it. So that means the letter was leaked the day before his testimony and he had a planned response in his opening statement.

Something smells extremely bad here.

Looks like someone took the letter to the men’s or women’s room to snap the photo!

[edit...
Actually on second look it might be bathroom tile floor

9. It does look like someone quickly snuck that letter into a bathroom

and snapped the photo with their phone. That suggests it was a staff person; Barr wouldn't have had to go to such lengths.

3. I don't think he did it. But I do think he assumed the letter would leak eventually,

and even if it didn't, he knew Mueller will testify soon and the letter would have come out then. So of course he was prepared with a planned response. My guess is that someone we've never heard of leaked the letter; the AG's office has a lot of employees, and maybe some obscure staff attorney who didn't like where his/her office was going decided this had better come out before Barr testified.

par for the course in Trump world.

Pic of letter shows that it was placed on a floor. There’s a distinct darker line inset to the flooring which probably can be matched to some governmental office or open area.
