(1,977 posts)Because Congress refers to the DOJ to prosecute for perjury. He will have to be impeached, removed and then prosecuted by the new AG.
Folks, we are in a full-fledged Constitutional crisis at this point. Barr, for reasons nobody can fully explain, is going to do everything he can to prevent Trump from facing justice and will try to thwart any prosecution related to Trump.
Barr and Trump must be impeached now.
I'll say again: The biggest mistake the Senate Democrats made was participating in the confirmation hearings for Barr. They should have refused in protest and let the GOP confirm them. If they had, imagine the ground they would be standing on now, and could point to all this and say "see, this is why we refused to participate in the confirmation."
