That school shooting yesterday in North Carolina

A lovely young man died to stop the shooting - this has to stop.

Two people were killed and four more were injured in a shooting at the University of North Carolina Charlotte on Tuesday, police officials said at a news conference.

The suspect — a 22-year-old former student — is in custody, police confirmed. He faces multiple charges, including two counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder.

The university’s Office of Emergency Management issued an alert at 5:50 pm local time telling students and staff to “Run, Hide, Fight” and “Secure yourself immediately.” At 7:39 pm, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department tweeted that the scene was secure and the lone suspect was in custody. But the school remained on lockdown for hours as police cleared buildings, and exams were canceled through Sunday.

I wish many at DU would give up on knee-jerk "bans" (seen here just this week after the Poway Synagogue shooting), and instead focus on REGULATIONS for MSSAs (which we really need to start calling them to defuse the technical objections of Gunners).

1. No MSSA purchases for anyone under 21.
2. 6 month waiting period for MSSA purchases.

I think that might REDUCE the death toll, but nothing can end this scourge. The young Male brain is too fraught with anger and resentment, and repealing/revising the 2nd Am. is a practical impossibility for generations.

4. Young males like the synagogue shooter and George Zimmerman are practically impotent without gunz.

Earnest would not have gone into the synagogue without a gun. Zman would have sat in his car without his gun, rather that stalking, bullying and murdering Trayvon Martin.

If it takes generations to work, might as well start now. Every decade we do nothing, puts another 100 million gunz on the street we'll have to deal with when we finally bite the bullet.

I do like the 6 month waiting period.

The tide's been coming in since the Cincinnati Revolution - 40+ years. maybe Oliver North's failed coup is the turning?

Hard to see the NRA's grip on the GOP crumbling, and without a supermajority, we need that to break.
