Are we at a tipping point?

Orange Julius, dictator wanna be is totally thumbing his nose at the rule of law. So, now that he has his Roy Cohn/ Michael Cohen fixers in place, does the U.S. have the ability to enforce the rule of law? Barr being confirmed as AG and overseeing the DOJ, and GOP control of the Senate, that it is up to the true patriots in the House to file contempt (criminal) charges and hold prosecutorial hearings. Average Americans have very little ability to impact much at this point other than encouraging members of Congress to hold hearings and impeach and staging massive protests. I am truly concerned that it may become violent and I really, really don't want to go there. But what makes us immune to that? After all, we have been here before. As Franklin said when questioned about what kind of government had been founded: "A republic, if you can keep it."

At the US. His intelligence services basically rigged the vote and we got the GOPERS’ orange faced shit gibbon installed as our president. Chump lies his ass off every day. He thumbs his nose at the laws and Constitution of this country. The conservanazis will not help in legislation to insure the security and integrity of our electronic voting machines. Therefore, we’ll probably be stuck with idiot assholes like tRump doing Putin’s dirty work for many years.

The whole conservanazi party thumbs it’s nose at anything that resembles law and order. Unless we put a stop to this rouge regime in the very near future, the US will be a pawn of Putin and no longer a republic. It will be a FASCIST regime ruled by the conservanazis’ GOP.

I know many who feel the same way I do . I gave 7 1/2 years of my life in the Army protecting and defending the Constitution. The Kocksucker brothers have paid for this.

The good news is there is conversation about where we are, and how we got here.

Barr's behavior at the hearing, his fuck you attitude, was a definite heads up, a signal to how far we have gone beyond the pale.

Nixon was too much a political animal to not resign, he wanted to salvage as much of his history on the world stage as he could, and when he was told Congress was seriously going to impeach him, he agreed to leave quietly.

That isn't going to happen this time, for all the known reasons about who Trump is.
He is motivated by money and power, and will not let go of either easily.
Worse yet, he is not known for keeping his end of agreements.
Even worse, his mental status makes him incompetent and unpredictable.

Still some preparatory work to be done. But the steady drumbeat against Trump's corruption is beginning to show results. We need to keep it up, keep it in the public eye, and say it all again and again. Hearings in the House, a parade of witnesses coming forward and detailing Trump administration perfidy, and we can set a new public perception. We gotta do the work first, though.

Trump is evil. He even looks evil.
Barr is evil. He really looks evil, almost demon passed.

The courts are on board with Trump. Unless the Dems go through with impeachment regardless to the outcome, nothing will stop this band of unpatriotic, corrupt, fascist, immoral are seemingly unstoppable now that Russia is on their side. Putin has won the battle. Lets hope he doesn't win the war. It's up to us to ensure that he doesn't.

depending upon where the case ends up... I do believe he is a total Russian puppet and should be frog-marched into federal prison for treason. I also want to keep hope alive. Wasn't that Jesse Jackson?? So many former leaders should be raising hell right now. Bush, Powell, Oh wait. They are republicans and benefit from Orange Julius! The deafness on the GOP side is staggering.

“This administration’s systematic refusal to provide Congress with answers and cooperate with congressional subpoenas is the biggest cover-up in American history, and Congress has a responsibility to provide oversight on behalf of the American people,” Representative Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland, the No. 2 House Democrat, said as he announced the contempt votes.

So perhaps your concern is a bit premature:

I am truly concerned that it may become violent and I really, really don't want to go there. But what makes us immune to that? After all, we have been here before. As Franklin said when questioned about what kind of government had been founded: "A republic, if you can keep it."

Perhaps getting information from sources other than "The Intercept" and "In These Times" will give you a more accurate reporting of what "true patriots" are doing, and less unwarranted concern.
