Watched "Knock Down The House" last night.

And it pretty much confirmed what I assumed was the case after the 2018 midterms. AOC is a generational political talent who was severely underestimated by Crowley (I suspect this was the case for many of the "insurgent" candidates). And lastly a lack of term limits for members of congress, which Thomas Jefferson wisely argued in favor of, makes politicians lazy to the needs of their constituents. Crowley didn't even live in the district he represented. Is that a common practice? Either way, nicely done documentary which really shows the power a well-organized grassroots movement can yield.

For one thing, they get entrenched in DC, with a permanent residence and everything.

I'm not sure a representative even needs to be registered to vote in their district, though it seems it should be a law that they do.
