Find a different strategy and as a party, we have an opportunity to show some awareness of the damage wrought.

I often ask what they h*ll they mean by "centrist". They talk of issues like medicare for all as if it was some far left notion. But when a big majority of Americans are for it, doesn't that make it the center? Same with gun regulation and a host of other issues. Big majorities of voters are for those individual issues and yet those people talk as if those issues were beyond the pale of decent thought. Enough of that right/left/center nonsense. . . talk about the ISSUES and where Americans stand on them.

Just as an example. Every other western country, EVEN DURING TIMES WHEN A CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENT IS IN CHARGE, would not dare touch the basic national healthcare payed for and structured in a centralized socialist way. One reason is that even though it may go against the right wing phillosophy of letting the market take care of everything, it is cheaper for everyone, covers everyone and also helps business. (because they don't have to provide it, nor include that cost in international bidding as American companies do)

A national single payer financed Medicare-for-All is a normal, centrist, conservative accepted program everywhere else. But in America, even for some more conservative Democrats in here, it is all unicorns and rainbows, and far left extremism. So sick of the MSM trying as hard as they can to keep the "middle of the road" as far to the right as they can as an indicator for what is "left" and what is "right".

My definition of a centrist is someone who only supports screwing the non wealthy half as much.

This is an emergency Chuck if you haven’t noticed shame on you.....this is a 4 alarm fire.
