Some things we all know, but sometimes let get pushed to the background:
Donald Trump lies---about nearly anything and everything. Nothing that we hear from him or those acting on his behalf should EVER be believed unless it is corroborated out the ying-yang by individuals we know and trust. There are NO exceptions to this.
Virtually every Republican over the past three decades or so has not just enabled Trump--- they have aided and abetted him. Ryan, McConnell, McCarthy, Cruz, Cotton, Meadows, Nunes, Jordan, Graham---just a partial list of the GOP'S "leadership" that has knowingly and brazenly chosen short-term personal gain over the honor and welfare of our nation. Those who do not eventually go to prison should be spat upon whenever they appear in public.
Democrats, as a party, share the same or compatible views on at least 80% of all political issues. The opposite extremes within our party have much more in common with each other than they do with any Republican.
Polls are, for the most part, meaningless. Anyone with the money and desire can commission a poll to "prove" anything they choose.
To quote Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce, "All honorable men belong same tribe."
Most people, given the choice, will choose to be honest and decent and fair and kind.
The most powerful force in the universe has always been and always will be---love.
