someone always dies. The really scary reactionary ones who want to prosecute people who get abortions don't like heartbeat laws either, because techs don't always catch heartbeats when they should, and so a total ban is necessary. Hypocrisy will never shame them.

I lived in a small town, one of the high school cheerleaders disappeared for 2 weeks. Her father was an executive with a large company, when she got back she told friends her dad had paid a doctor in Chicago to abort the pregnancy.

Abortion will still happen, in fact for the rich it will be safely done by a kind doctor who wants his or her student loans paid off by a rich grateful father. For the poor it will be a dark backroom with dirty instruments and a guy named Gus. Infection, bleeding and death will follow, but hey, these are poor women so who really cares if they die that way.

This is the most terrifying thing about having the evangelicals in control of the Senate and the White House.

my father had to tell his best friend that he'd taken best-friend's daughter (who'd been ashamed to tell her father) to the emergency room for complications of a botched back-alley akron.

To this day (as a 65+-year-old man) I militantly hold the view that abortions should be safe, legal, and nobody else's damned business.

Put their money where their mouths are and support FREE CONTRACEPTION! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that using contraception greatly reduces the need for abortion!
