So why didn't today's shooting at a school near Columbine make it into Google's "Headlines?"

It's the second in "U.S." One killed (he rushed one of the shooters) and 8 wounded. So.... Same ol', same ol' ????????????????????????

back in 1999 - it was one of the most jarring events of the decade. Today it would be just another mass shooting.

received very little attention at the end of April. Has the media decided this is no longer NEWZ??? Or has the gun lobby decided that the ongoing reports are for bad business.

Very strange. If we as a society have decided this is 'business as usual?' We have all lost our souls.

Gee it’s another shi**y day in America.

Every day it gets harder and harder to have hope for the future.

Even a lot of democrats won’t come down strong on guns. Let’s face it most countries that outlaw guns have little violence, yes some but nothing compared to our hourly violence.

Between Trumps crap and daily violence in some form, shootings, rape, bullying, etc we are worn down. I am starting to see now why so few people in Germany stood up to the insanity and violence.

We are like a country of battered women fearing the next blow.

Mass shootings are attention-seeking behavior. Making the national news is giving the shooters exactly what they want, incentivizing other would-be shooters. It has been suggested that news media should ramp down coverage of these events and treat them like local stories rather than national news.

not enough people were killed.

And yes, same old same old is actually an appropriate response.

I'm just waiting for someone to top the Las Vegas Massacre.

Somebody ought to infiltrate the NRP and put up posters showing what murder by gun actually looks like. And then maimed survivors of various mass shooting should show up and just present themselves. Maybe carry signs that say: This Is What Guns Do.
