A made up show about the news is doing a better job of reporting the actual news than the actual new

Last edited Mon Aug 27, 2012, 01:19 AM - Edit history (1)

This is a spoiler for those of you who haven't seen tonite's episode

They just called out Romney on a lie.
On an etch-a-sketch moment about Obama's job creation.
Mitt goes around saying how Obama hasn't created jobs and caught Mitt saying that he never said that.

They started out the news with voter suppression as the most important story of what is going on in our country.

They showed that our founding fathers never said that we are a Christian Nation.

During their mock debate - they asked "Rick Santorum" what freedoms he has had taken away since Obama has become President. And Bachmann what God's voice sounds like she said she heard from him.

And they called the Teabaggers for what they are for trying to undermine the US Gov't - The American Taliban.

Wake the fuck up CNN and yes, even MSNBC!!! This show is making a fool out of you!

(on edit - I know there is no 's' at the end of the last news - that's because I ran out of space)

Too bad everyone doesn't have HBO - if you don't, go to youtube to watch some clips.

Phooey..We'll have to wait until June of next yr for the second season.

(I'd like to think that this is what CNN would be like today if Ted Turner still owned that network.)

Thanks for the reminder, repeats in half an hour, and it's got so much going on that it bears watching again, and watching repeats usually bores me.

I loved Maggie's question for Michele Bachmann, asking her what God's voice really sounds like!

I posted this on facebook....

Will McAvoy, the Newsroom speaking about what happened to the Republican Party listed these bullet points.

* Ideological Purity
* Compromise as Weakness
* A Fundamentalist Belief in Scriptural Literalism
* Denying Science
* Unmoved by Facts
* Undeterred by New Information
* Hostile Fear of Progress
* Demonization of Education
* A Need to Control Women's Bodies
* Severe Xenophobia
* Tribal Mentality
* Intolerance of Dissent
* Pathological Hatred of the U.S. Government

He continued, "They can call themselves the Tea Party, they can call themselves conservatives, and they can even call themselves Republicans; through Republicans certainly shouldn't. But we should all call them what they are, the American Taliban."

MSNBC has been doing a good job of reporting the news. MSNBC has always and constantly discusses President Obama's job creation rate. A number of the anchors for the channel have been discussing voter suppression and calling Mitt Romney out on his lies. They have also discussed the shortcomings of Paul Ryan.

CNN has talked about President Obama's job creation and voter suppression at least in Ohio. I think they also did a story on the Texas voter ID law and the affect it will have on Texas residents. They have done as good of a job on other issues.

That's the lie they got Romney on, not job creation.

He kept saying Obama made the economy worse when it was clearly getting better. Then he denied saying it.

Newsroom is a great show. Everyone should watch it. There are plenty of places to watch it for free on the net.
