Don Jr.s Appearance before Senate Intelligence Committee Has Been CAREFULLY PLANNED by Trump & Co.

Trump is not a subtle man and his impulses give him away every time. He has not squawked once about Don Jr. being asked to come before the Senate Intelligence Committee. This is his tell. Moscow Donnie wants Jr. to go before the committee.

Two obvious reasons would be to try and save Jr.'s ass from being charged with perjury from his earlier lie fest before the committee and to give several planned comments to friendly Republicans on the committee that will dominate a news cycle.

In regard to the perjury issue, Michael Cohen's emails and other records prove that Junior lied about his knowledge of the The Trump Tower deal. Look for Junior to give a heartfelt plea that he was simply confused when he lied at the earlier meeting.

In regard to dominating a news cycle, look for the GOP and Junior to have a consistent "let's move on" message.

That is the way I see it coming to pass.

It's up to the Dems to throw him off balance and make him say something that will further incriminate him.

I read in this thread that some would like to see only Harris question him. What I fear is that the Repugs will turn that into saying Harris is mugging for the Dem nomination and this is all about her running for the nomination.

You know that the Repugs will turn any Dem questioning around as grandstanding and a continued witch hunt.
