3. to me, this is THE most dangerous crack in our culture

in a very long time.
i dont want to go on a long winded rant about this, but i will say this- it is clear that the extension of childhood, and the capacity for growth in the human brain is what has raised our species to it current heights of culture and industry.
it is just a fact that the more time the human (or any other) animal spends growing the more complex the brain, esp the "higher functions" of art and music and words, can become. more complex=smarter.

introducing this kind of threat AND this lionization of actions of KIDS! FUCKING KIDS! is going to subtly undercut that great leap in development, and send us into a backward evolution.
and right at a time that we need a leap in the opposite direction.

even if we fix the planet, this gives me true fear for our species. (like the last 3 years havent brought me enough despair.)
