The actor told TMZ that, “Yeah, I got fired,” adding that “Geico fired me because I wasn’t too kind about speaking about the present administration. If you’re a conservative in this town, you better watch out.”

It would seem that they prefer the company to not show political affiliation.

They've done them with all sorts of "celebrities"...a quick joke that doesn't have much shelf life and they moved on. Ermey's 15 minutes long past. His teevee shows kissing the military's ass were cancelled...is he gonna blame Obama for the piss poor ratings?

I'd ask what's his malfunction, numbnutz...but we already know...

need to bring up it again because, well, it's an election year of course!

And another thing - if I recall correctly, it was WAY more than just "criticism of the administration". More like a ridiculously over-the-top personal rant against Obama.

I mean, he got the job, got paid, and that's it, that's how such ads work. He was certainly not their spokesman, he was a character is a humor based ad. He should be embarrassed to be whining about this at all, much less still....

.... is that he's not acting. He's never been cast as anything but an asshole, because he embodies that role so very well.

Agree with other posters, it was a one-off ad in a great campaign. Martin Agency, I think, but as usual I could be wrong.
