1. That is a wonderful story! I'm glad she accepted her son's gift.

It sure seems appropriate to me: first she gave him life, and then he returned the favor.

They probably took a part of his liver; the whole organ would be impossible in this case, but even a lobe or two will do it. The liver regenerates.
