It is down from a week ago. This is in San Diego and our prices are always high, like everything else here. We pay a lot for our weather.

(32,641 posts)I just like a hotel there and lots to do and see in that area. My friends live on Mission Bay with a view of Sea World. Come to think of it Ive never been to Sea World. I couldnt make it this year in February, but the weather was a little wet. Hope there is no June gloom this year. 😀

(38,304 posts)When my wife and I met we were Los Angeles automobile commuters.
By some planning and greater good fortune we've avoided the automobile commuter lifestyle since the later 'eighties.
Mostly good fortune, gasoline prices simply don't matter to us.
I burned more than my own fair share of gasoline in the later 'seventies and early 'eighties driving all over the U.S. American West and Mexico.
Back then I could fill the tank of my little Toyota with less than an hour of my labor. It was like gasoline was almost free.

Because we had Smoke & Mirrors Chris Christie, he siphoned off all of our transportation trust fund money to give people the illusion that he was fiscally conservative. He cut over a billion dollars in taxes for the 1% each year, lost $400M Race-to-the-Top money because he fucked up, let Exxon-Mobile out of an $9 Billion settlement for their toxic waste sites the same day he went to dinner with their execs, the fucker even stole money from the EMT rescue fund. If there was an old ladies & young children with cancer fund, he would have wiped that one out too....
So he needed to raise our gas tax from the lowest in the country from 14.5 cents/gallon to 41.5 cents/gallon.
So, when figuring out how much gas costs, take into account the state gas tax, as that varies drastically.
