The Trump Era is about the worst that America can be.

(115,669 posts)The abrupt swing from the best to the worst tells us that the worst has been lurking underneath for a long time. We can't let up for a second because the worst will always surface, given the slightest chance. It's the monster under the bed, but it's real.

(33,297 posts)In terms of representing our ideals and serving his oath with honor and dignity, sure. He was the best.
But otherwise, what is the lasting legacy of the Obama era? What hasn't been walked back? The crippled-by-congress ACA? The GOP congress obstructed and lied while Obama extended his hand in bipartisanship over and over and over.

I agree with you that we didnt achieve all that we could have, but we had good intentions.
With Trump it's the demoralization of America. Reveling in having bad intentions. Gloating about it even.

(33,297 posts)Most of those successes were in the 1st 2 years, before our fellow Americans handed control of the house back to the Money Party.
Don't forget, the ACA was also sabotaged in the Senate by Rubio.
