It's a take on the saying: All that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.
Einstein was very disturbed by the use of the atom bomb, which he had worked to create. Or at least the basis for it. (I'm not sure.)
Einstein himself? Meh...not such a good person. A philanderer who pretty much abandoned his wife and daughter, altho I guess he provided for them monetarily. He wasn't much better to the gf/second wife. I also think the first wife had much to do with the things he was credited for (she was a scientist, too).
