I think it has long been assumed that the president might have a kind of tripwire when it comes to investigations, legal liability, getting too close to his adult children. I mean, in this case, according to reporting from Vanity Fair and The New York Times, one of the allegations at issue here for which there’s apparently some sort of documentary trail, is the allegation that lawyer Abbe Lowell specifically told Cohen that he should tell Congress Ivanka Trump had essentially no knowledge of Trump tower Moscow. According to Michael Cohen, that wasn’t true. According to Cohen, Ivanka Trump was regularly briefed on Trump Tower Moscow. Well, if as Cohen alleges, Abbe Lowell was involved in telling Michael Cohen to lie to Congress, specifically about the involvement of Ivanka Trump in that scheme, I mean, that feels like the sort of thing that could trip 50 tripwires all at once, right? That’s sensitive on a lot of different levels. But that is apparently now what the House Intelligence Committee is chasing down and we are being told to expect that that may be in the form of subpoenas soon.

Increased Dem focus on obstruction could send Trump over the edge

The Mueller investigation may be over, but Democrats have taken the baton from the special counsel and they appear to be sprinting with it.

In this instance, as they dig further into the obstruction issue, it could spell trouble for one of Trump’s children and send this president completely over the edge.

Not only would it further implicate the president and his lawyers in an obstruction scheme, but it would show that Trump’s daughter was far more involved in a potential deal with Russia than was previously known.

As Rachel Maddow pointed out on Tuesday, it could set off a series of tripwires – none of which are likely to end well for Donald Trump.

Everyone gets excited "Now we got them!", nothing happens, and in the mean time the Democrats go on TV to tell the World that "they are researching all their options" to later negotiate a lousy deal like the one with Jr where he agrees to answer the subpoena but only with his demands, such as "no more than four hours", and "here is the list of questions I will answer" and the other great negotiator from the Democratic party, Nadler is happy because he will have Jr testify to later find out Jr takes the 5th.

Enough already, we need to start sending emails and letters to our Democratic leaders, enough being bullied by the "party of trump", enough getting the short stick on every negotiation. A subpoena that is not answered has consequences, there is no room for negotiations, by what I understand the law is, it is very simple, you don't show up? you go to jail, period...NO NEGOTIATION.

2020 is around the corner, it comes faster than many people think, and my prediction is that if things continue the way they are, come 2020 the Muller report will still be redacted, Barr will have subpoena and maybe indicted some FBI agents who worked on the investigation, the Democrats will still be "looking at options" for them to use "everything at their disposal", etc. etc. Have people forgotten what happened to Peter Strzok? The "party of trump" does not mess around, they go for the jugular, they don't negotiate, they make up stuff to screw you/us, and they have no shame doing it. ENOUGH!

Oh, and I almost forgot...before the end of 2019 the economy that Obama left will be destroyed. Anyone who has not caught up with the price of food in supermarkets is not paying attention, many items have doubled in price in the last year. When are people going to wake up? I thought that filing taxes would wake up many people when they realized their returns had been cut in half or that for the first time they would have to pay the IRS, but no...still sleep at the wheel.
