1. Or just driving out of state.

No passport or travel documents required. Will they stop all cars at every road that crosses the state line? And then what? Force every woman to pee on pregnancy test strip? And then what? Maybe women will be able to prove that they weren't in Alabama on the date in question. Then what?

2. Their law says they can kill those women when they come back home. For real, it does.

This WILL happen and soon unless Roberts saves us.

7. I think that Georgia's bill is the one that has some wording about going out of state.

The Alabama bill says nothing about seeking an abortion elsewhere and specifically states that the mother is not held criminally or civilly liable. The physician who performs one for any other reason than health of the mother will be sent to prison. I called my state senator today to shame him and left a message for Kay Ivey that I'm sure she'll never get. I also called Senator Singleton's office to thank him for everything he did to try to keep it from passing.

3. No they do't. Rich women will always have a way to get an abortion if they want one.

They will simply call their procedure a D&C. Their physicians are on board with this. Or they simply won't tell anyone and have it in their high-priced doctor's office.

5. This might work elsewhere

But I'm not sure there are many doctors in Alabama willing to chance - even for their favorite patients or for lots of money - spending the rest of their lives in jail for performing an abortion. The legislature made the risk awfully high.

4. Perhaps their Taliban legislature's next step will be to make it illegal for all women to leave

Alabama without taking a pregnancy test. Any that are caught trying to leave while pregnant will be sent to birthing camps with a wall and razor wire to keep them in.

But will have to undergo a pregnancy test at the border when they come back. Any woman who left pregnant and returns with an empty womb and empty arms goes straight to detention for processing and trial.

So they are going to search all women leaving the state? I’m sure we all know that it will only be women of color who are searched.

11. As horrible as it is

I hope no one sues because that’s what they want to outlaw all abortion and with this court it could happen. Sadly if I got pregnant in that state I would move out of state.

All women should refuse sex unless the men wear a condom. Unless they are post menopause.
