Well, expect a clusterfuck of corruption behind Trump's immigration plan.

Enforceable monitored loyalty oath will get you enough merit points.

I'm sure you could!

I laugh whenever a Republican rube calls Democrats "elitists". Republicans engage in a LOT of projection, but this is the most obvious and glaring example.

The vast majority of Americans live so far away from farms they have no idea how food gets to the grocery store. They don't have the physical stamina to do the work, or the basic knowledge. To say it's not appealing to Americans barely scratches the surface.

One of America's greatest needs is for immigrants who know hands-on farm work, are willing to do it, and look on it as a way to provide a better life for their families.

It's gruelling work, dangerous -- much needs to improve; just ask Dolores Huerta. On the whole, I think they don't want their children to have to do it if they can do something better. California has a solid base of Latino small-businessmen and women whose parents or grandparents came over the border to work the fields.

So as far as I can tell, if we want our crops tended, we have to accommodate those who can do the work in every generation, and treat them like fellow humans.

Skilled housekeepers?
Meal servers?
Busboys?
Doormen?
Bellboys?
Launderers?
Basically anyone who would be willing to work long hours for minimum wages in his clubs/hotels?

As long as they have merit to Donnie, they're eligible.

So, IT, medicine, graphic design, etc. If you were to try to emigrate to, say, Canada you would find they (like most countries) have a job skill matrix they use to weight applicants. I like being the country that doesn't do that.

Fortunately this bill will probably lose all Republican support because it doesn't cut immigration numbers.
