DONE: Wendy Vitter confirmed, 52-45.

Here we go: Senate voting to confirm Wendy Vitter to be a lifetime federal judge. She's said Planned Parenthood "kills over 150,000 females a year" + has urged people to tell their doctors to put materials in waiting rooms saying that abortion causes breast cancer. (Not true.)

Lisa Murkowski, one of two pro-choice Republicans in the Senate, just voted yes on Vitter.

The other pro-choice Republican in the Senate, Susan Collins, just voted NO on Vitter.

DONE: Wendy Vitter confirmed, 52-45.

None of Trump's judges will be impeached. A Dem supermajority willing to undo Trump's legacy is a pipe dream.

I'm not discounting an extremely left wing, hyper partisan, reactionary supermajority if trends keep up.

Give me a timeline for a Dem Supermajority in the Senate. Be realistic.

Even if a supermajority is achieved, by some miracle, in 2021, what are we going after Vitter for? Being a Trump appointee?

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education. 65 years later, Wendy Vitter, @realDonaldTrump’s pick for the LA District Court, won't say whether that case was correctly decided. The Senate must reject her nomination.#CourtsMatter

What do @civilrightsorg @aauw @blkwomenshealth @sierraclub @NEAtoday @NatUrbanLeague & I all have in common?

We all oppose Wendy Vitter’s nomination to be a federal judge, and here’s why:

Wendy Vitter has virtually no federal trial court experience, and yet she was nominated to a lifetime position as a judge.

Wendy Vitter wasn’t transparent with the Senate or the American people, and failed to disclose more than 100 speeches, interviews, and press articles that clearly demonstrated a far-right world view.

Wendy Vitter dabbled in conspiracy theories that abortion causes cancer, and has said that birth control can cause promiscuity that would lead women to meet a “violent death.”

Wendy Vitter is opposed to conducting a fair and accurate census, despite the fact that such a census is required in the Constitution.

Wendy Vitter is a political operative with extreme views and no experience. I voted no on her nomination, as should every other member of the United States Senate.

"Sen. Susan Collins (Maine) was the only Republican to join Democrats and independents in opposing Vitter’s nomination, in the 52-to-45 vote."

I am suprised, Collins voted against her.
