I hope this guy never has a daughter.

Pro-forced birth indeed.

He sounds like a guy who'd love to see a country like the one in "A Handmaid's Tale."

Matt Walsh: 12-Year-Old Rape Victims Should Be Forced to Have Children

Matt Walsh, a contributor to Ben Shapiro’s right-wing news outlet The Daily Wire, argued on Twitter and said in a podcast today that a rape victim should be subject to anti-abortion laws that would require them to give birth to a child conceived during the assault.

Walsh had argued his same point on Twitter yesterday in reaction to Alabama’s recently passed anti-abortion law that included no exception for victims of incest or rape, which prompted enough people to criticize him that Twitter briefly identified his name as a trending topic. During a podcast for The Daily Wire this morning, Walsh doubled down against his critics and elaborated on why he believed rape victims, even those as young as 12 years old, should be required to give birth after being impregnated by their assailants.

“Rapists use abortion to cover their tracks,” Walsh asserted. “Abortion restrictions can actually protect rape victims, whereas abortion clinics often exploit rape victims and can cause rape to continue.”

Walsh argued that terminating the hypothetical pregnancy of a 12-year-old girl who was raped by her father would destroy evidence of the crime, which is simply untrue, and argued that by having a baby, the crime would be exposed.

“Do I apologize for making this point? No, no, I do not, not even a little bit. I’m not ever going to apologize for saying something that’s true,” Walsh said.

1. No, he should have a daughter so that he gets to think about

what his way of thinking is all about.

I recall many years ago reading that there was nothing more likely to make a man in favor of Title IX than to have a daughter who was good at some sport and wanted to go to college. FINALLY it hit home that women really should be treated equally.

3. Rape or not, if his daughter became pregnant, he'd pay to abort.

He'd immediately go back demonizing abortions (especially women who have them) without missing a beat.

Right-wing conservatives are nothing if not massive hypocrites. It's arguably their defining characteristic.

Have read stories from nurses that work at Planned Parenthood detailing how some people are out protesting regularly...then one day they come in with their daughter to get a "problem" fixed...then next week they are right back out there protesting again.

WTF?!?!?!

and talk about how their abortion is "different" and "necessary", not like all the other women, the ones they scream at and call murderers.

4. If a 12-year-old is pregnant,

then she would be a victim of statutory rape. She doesn't have to give birth for there to be evidence of a crime. The fact that she is pregnant is the evidence.

Matt Walsh is crazy and stupid.

6. No, if he had children-- he'd probably tell his son that the rapist isn't responsible for the rape--

Planned Parenthood and the victim are. I'm not sure we want him to have a child of any sort.

People with privilege will always have access to abortion. Insane restrictions have little to no impact on people like them. It's poor people who they want to control and punch back down in their place. It *always* is.
