What would happen to the doctor and my goddaughter under the dracoanian anti-abortion laws today?

(175,731 posts)It wasn't necessary in her case (the fact she's six feet tall helped a lot), but it's always a possibility with multiples. She was very lucky. But I've been asking myself the same question and I have no idea of the answer. It seems like they didn't think this through because every case isn't clear cut.
Happily, we live in a state where the governor and both houses of the legislature are controlled by Democrats -- Illinois. I won't say that it can't happen here, but I'm hopeful for the time being.
I hope that your goddaughters children are doing well.
