Sharing an incredible post from a friend about Alabama

Dear Holy Rolling Republican Legislators,

Hey, it's me. Host body with uterus. I wanted to check in and see if we could get a clear definition on this whole "sanctity of life" thing you're talking about. Since you say that life is sacred, I wanted to see if we could agree on the following:

- Will you ensure that my host body gets the prenatal care it needs to make sure this embryo grows into a healthy fetus?
- Will you ensure that my host body gets paid family leave, so that I can care for the baby you said I had to have, no matter what?
-Will you ensure that my baby will be able to see a doctor after it leaves my host body?
-Will you ensure that my baby can breathe clean air and drink clean water, after my host body isn't providing its oxygen and isn't providing its milk?
-Will you make sure my baby has quality childcare and early childhood education? Because my host body sometimes has to go to work, to feed us.
-Will you provide a quality K-12 education? Because my host body can't teach that kid chemistry.
-Will you create a safe society, where my child won't have to be afraid of getting shot? Where they don't have to do lockdown drills in their pre-school classroom? Because who'd want to leave my host body for a world like this?
-Will my kid be able to go to college and get a good education, so they don't grow up to believe that women are just fucking host bodies meant for bearing children, and perhaps they read some books other than the Bible? Like maybe even some history. Or science. Or fiction that isn't the Bible.

Here are some other questions I have:
-What if that kid is black? Or brown? Will their lives matter?

What if that kid is Muslim? Or Jewish? Or atheist? Will their non Christian beliefs be protected by you?

What if they're LGBTQ? Will they be treated equally under the law?

What if they're a migrant child at the border? A refugee? Are they fully human and whole in your eyes?

Hmm. What's that? Hard no to all of those? Oh, so let me get this straight. You're not pro life. Because you don't give a damn what happens to the kid after they leave my host body. You just want to hand them some teeny tiny bootstraps and wish them the best of luck pulling themselves up.

So let's be clear. This isn't about the "sanctity of life". It's a bill that's designed to legislatively fingerbang my uterus. See, in science, that's what we call the spot where the fetus grows. (It's not a host body.)

Well, guess what. Me and my "host body" are gonna rise up and push back against your holy roller laws. We women with our "host bodies" have done it before and we're gonna do it again. And we're gonna come at you with our big words spelled correctly, and our facts, and our lawyers, and we're gonna fight you tooth and nail. So get ready to get your pearl clutching, hypocritical asses out of my bedroom, my uterus, and my doctor's office. Because you weren't invited. And you're not welcome. This "host body" is ready for the fight.

Ben Shapiro is an arrogant and ignorant fool

He claims that only the orthodox Jews (as he proclaims himself to be) are real Jews and that the rest of us should turn in our badges. [Badges? We don’t need any stinking badges!] Speaking of badges, the Nazis gave us all badges (yellow Stars of David) and numbers. During the Middle ages various European rulers gave us badges, too. Would our ancestors been able to turn in those badges?

Mr. Shapiro is hung up on outward appearances of piety and not on the ethics of Judaism. I would urge Mr. Shapiro to read the Haftorah for Yom Kippur (Isaiah 57:14-58:14) and reflect on that a bit.

I would also suggest that Mr. Shapiro review rabbinical opinion on abortion. He would find that abortion is permitted whenever the mother’s life or her family may be endangered by the pregnancy and that abortion is permitted until the fetus is viable outside the uterus. Note that endangerment of life can include starvation, inability to care for her other children, or any condition that could lead to a significant decline in health.

For whatever it is worth, most Jews in America are liberals and vote that way. Why? I like to think that it is because we remember being discriminated against, losing our rights, our livelihoods, and our lives. We are reminded of that every Passover Seder and every Yom HaShoah.

rethugs aren't the least bit interested in the sanctity of life. They are interested in control, starting, but not ending, with women. To them, we are a collection of their favorite body parts (which does not include the brain).

Republicans are in favor of killing living babies and have done so.

Pro-life is a myth.

The supposed pro-lifers cared naught when the state of Texas (republican gov, republican Prez) deliberately killed living baby Sun Hudson against the mother's wishes because he was an inconvenience to the state.

It is not a matter of life to the supposed pro-lifers.

It is a matter of control.

brainwashing special interest groups across American such as Evangelical Christians and gun humpers to just carry them over the line in elections. Back in the 50s and 60s, their pro-corporate and fiscal austerity policies just weren't cutting it.

They knew plenty of billionaires would come along and supply the money.

Co-opting the churches went something like this:

1. GOP to churches: Want a way to make much more money in your mega-churches?
Churches: Sure - we're going broke and attendance is falling.

2. GOP to churches: Then hitch a ride with us and we'll supply minions and money.
Churches: Great!

3. GOP to churches: We need an emotionally sensitive issue to use to gather support. How about abortion?
Churches: Yea, that would work and we'll dig up a bunch of twisted shit out of the Bible to justify it. Women in our churches are like sheep anyway.
