Judge Emmett Sullivan came to kick ass, release tapes and documents, and chew bubblegum

and he's fresh out of bubblegum.

(He also doesn't seem to think he has to wait for an impeachment inquiry to order information released)

Judge orders parts of Mueller report unredacted

A federal judge has ordered portions of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report to be unredacted and made public in the criminal case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan issued the limited order Thursday. Portions of the report relating to Flynn are redacted and would be made public under the order.

It is the first time a federal judge has ordered the Justice Department to make public portions of the report the agency had kept secret.

However, Judge Sullivan told Flynn: "This is a very serious offence.

"A high-ranking senior official of the government making false statements to the FBI while on the physical premises of the White House."

At one point, Judge Sullivan asked the prosecutor whether the special counsel's office had ever considered charging Flynn with treason.

The judge told Flynn: "Arguably, you sold your country out."

Judge Sullivan also said he "can't hide my disgust, my disdain" for the offence....

He's also the judge who ordered the plane with the deported family on it turned around and brought back and threatened to hold Jeff Sessions, Kiresten Nielsen and other Trump officials in contempt if they defied him.

Judge halts mother-daughter deportation, threatens to hold Sessions in contempt
Washington Post, August 9, 2018

A federal judge in Washington halted a deportation in progress Thursday and threatened to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt after learning that the Trump administration started to remove a woman and her daughter while a court hearing appealing their deportations was underway.

“This is pretty outrageous,” U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan said after being told about the removal. “That someone seeking justice in U.S. court is spirited away while her attorneys are arguing for justice for her?”

“I’m not happy about this at all,” the judge continued. “This is not acceptable.”

if they fail to comply. I have no doubt about that at all given what he said in the airplane deportation hearing.

Maddow said on her show that implied Mueller's prosecutors were ok with releasing this info as well, which makes sense to me given their previous arguments to keep court documents sealed.

This is also a possible avenue to get the grand jury material released outside of the congressional arena.

He has said he wants the entire unredacted report so he can decide whether or not to make it public. Walton is another wild card in this as is Judge Berman Jackson who has the Stone case. She has asked to see all the unredacted material related to Stone.

copy of the Mueller report and the underlying evidence to Congress.

Just a few of the unredactions tonight are substantial. The upcoming order for further redactions, transcripts and audio are going to increase the justification that the evidence and unreacted report must go to Congress.

I think Judge Sullivan was trying to do his American duty with these orders. He's upset by what has transpired and he's now witnessing further obstruction by Trump and his admin.

Coming in the wake of Rachel's (Adam Schiff) news that no one seems to know what became of the intelligence investigation ... which could have assisted Mueller's investigation of conspiracy .. as would the 'follow the money' investigation that nobody has heard about.

I think the wall Barr and Trump are trying to maintain to shield information from the public is starting to crumble.

I'm sure that if Team Trump's lawyers are halfway competent, they'll file an injunction while they appeal.
