There is nothing permanent about an alert--even if it gets juried 7-0, you only lose alerting power for 24 hours. It's happened to me (more than once) and to a lot of folks.
Forgive yourself and pour another cuppa!

I find it better to personally respond to the poster. It's better to let everyone see who is doing the violating.
