All Democrats combined, of every stripe and varying degree of loyalty, do not even make up a plurality of registered voters. We don't "own" the loyalty of third party and Independent voters who outnumber us. With that in mind, here's the poll:
7 votes, 2 passes | Time left: Unlimited
Democrats who feel free to be critical of other Democrats when they think it's warrented
0 (0%) |
|
People who aren't really Democrats seeking the Democratic nomination (but who won't run in Nov. w/o it)
0 (0%) |
|
People who are not Democrats choosing to run in Nov. who likely will draw more Democratic than GOP votes
0 (0%) |
|
People who don't vote | |
7 (100%) |
|
No I am not listing "Republicans." That's too easy. Picking this qualifies as a "spoiled ballot"

Other. Go ahead, you know you want to explain why you picked this choice.

(4,393 posts)It's one thing to admit that you just don't care about and don't know anything about politics and therefore don't vote.
It's something else to pretend that you're informed but that you can't see any difference between the two parties.
It must be nice to be so morally superior that both parties look the same when viewed from such great heights.
Meanwhile, here on earth, we will keep dealing with the real differences between the parties.

(22,315 posts)people out there who are actively disenfranchised. There are a lot of things that piss me off a lot more than they do.

(22,912 posts)It probably would be better to say "People who don't bother trying to vote."

(100,054 posts)It's one thing not voting, it's another thing to throw your vote away. That's a slap in the face, and I know people who have done this, simply because they didn't like either candidate. That drives me batshit insane when people admit that.
