of our population. I've lived in South Dakota and there are many good people there, people just like you and me and I dislike anybody using contemptuous terms for them.

(53,410 posts)Midwesterners are really ignorant about the world. This is all terrible stereotyping but I wouldnt live in the Midwest ever again! I met enough of them to see how they earned that stereotype.

(34,661 posts)tend to be some what aware of what is happening around the world. Just their personal nature to be cautious about certain subjects when speaking with a stranger . And yes,there are those who are total Ignorant Idiots that are roaming the countryside waiting for the Net to drop on them.
Most of the Major Metro areas of the Upper Midwest have a clue,it is when you leave for the Countryside that one begins to wonder what the hell happened.
If my body could handle the Winters,well the upper Midwest is still the Greatest.
If you want to find the Clueless,Go South or Southwest. Thankfully we have transplanted Midwestern's in Responsible Political Positions,sure beats those brain washed brain dead Right wingers.
