He's had hair replacement, but I think what he has is so thin and fine that they shellack that lacy gossamer in place so as not to display any pale understructure. That makes it tight as a drum and catch air like the wing of a plane. He needs to punch some holes in it like a cafe umbrella.

It looks like he finally did cut his hair recently. I figure he wants his golden locks to flow, so he was letting it get mullet-y in the back.
