Please call. Ring it off the hook. Express your displeasure at her inaction. I just did.

(5,801 posts)Nancy has been attacked repeatedly over the last few years even after ushering in the blue wave. The animosity toward her has been proven shortsighted time and time again. Enough is enough.

(5,264 posts)That's your mischaracterization, not my mindset.
Also, "ushering in the blue wave"? Says who? Like it wasn't going to happen without her? Says who?

Your denial is odd. And your anger misplaced.

(8,203 posts)Congress has the power to investigate without impeachment...page 24 of 41 judgement at link...
I am just not in the camp of putting the cart before the horse...all is NOT doomed...Rep Pelosi, speaker of the House is letting the individual committees work through the congressional process, leave no stone unturned, there will be a drip. drip, drip of information..
Anyone who lived through the Nixon Watergate era, KNOWS, it takes time....
Witnesses refusing to comply with subpoena...hold that thought....

(42,206 posts)Why do so many on this board believe impeachment will magically open doors? If Dotard and Co are ignoring subpoenas now, why couldn't or wouldn't they ignore them in an impeachment hearing?

(18,486 posts)be much higher.
Many people are under the misapprehension that impeachment hearings will give the Congress more "clout" with the courts or otherwise make the courts see their position more favorably. But the law is the law, regardless whether we're talking about oversight or impeachment. And while it's possible a judge might move faster in an impeachment out of some sense of urgency, that's not definite - a judge is going to move as a judge wants to move.
And, as we saw with Judge Mehta's decision yesterday, a judge doesn't need to be operating within an impeachment context in order to issue a rapid-turnaround smackdown.

Get your congress person on board, especially republicons! Don't waste her office's time. She knows how you feel; but does your personal congress critter know? Let them know daily, hourly--day after day. Don't waste your time with foolish exercises. Do real work and call 202 224 3121

(25,342 posts)It would be better to convince other people to call rather than calling repeatedly yourself. The offices that I've worked with tend to consider only the number of unique callers, not the number of times the same few people call. They all have Caller ID.
"Don't waste her office's time. She knows how you feel"
"Let them know daily, hourly--day after day"
It would seem that after the first call, your assertion about wasting the office's time would apply to the local rep's offices, as well. After the first call, they're aware of how you feel. I'm not sure that calling them hourly is going to accomplish anything.

(29,676 posts)put it out on your facebook, twitter or other social media. Send an email to every one of your contacts. I guess you could even put an ad in the paper. I think I'll change my sig line to that.
That's how the system works.
